Editing in Picasa 3 - Can't Edit - Not Working
I have windows 7 on a new computer. My problem is that I installed Picasa 3 and have downloaded pictures from a recent trip but, when I double click on a picture, I cannot find its editing program for basic fixes anywhere on the screen. I have spent a lot of time trying to apply trouble shooting fixes but to no avail.
Any suggestions?
ANSWER
I did a search for this as it works for me (although I have Windows XP) and apparently there are others who have this issue. Have you tried right clicking on an image? When I do that I get the option to View and Edit and the editing tools are there.
Also, I don't know if you have the latest version of Picasa, but it was released in August and it is 3.8.
If this doesn't work for you and you have had it (!), let me know what type of editing you want to do and I'll recommend another free program for you if you like.
Additional Question
Thank you for your quick response. Yes, I tried the right click several times and although "view and edit" does show up, the editing tools are not to be found anywhere. The picture is enlarged on center of screen but all space to left and right are gray in color. I am just looking for some basic editing features (that Picasa always had on Windows XP) so if this problem cannot be resolved I will certainly try anything you recommend.
ANSWER
Ok. I think you will like Picnik. It's very simple. You go to the site (www.picnik.com) and either search for a picture on your computer to edit...or....if you have uploaded your photos on Picas 3 to Picasa Web Albums, you can tell it to that you want to edit one of those photos. There is a link at the bottom of the page to Picasa Web Albums.
Picasa 3 came out with a new release in August...3.8. I think that version might work wiht Picnik right within Picasa 3. So you now have a few options. Let me know how you like Picnik and how it all works out, or if you have further questions.
