What Are Some Of The Smallest Digital Cameras?
Some of the smallest digital cameras are right up there with many other point and shoot cameras.
They have many of the features you might be looking for in addition to being compact. When we talk about compact digital cameras, they still should have every good resolution and hopefully not be too expensive.
Just because they are small does not mean that you have to give up certain options.
There are quite a few ultracompact digital cameras to choose from. Here are some recommendations. They have enough megapixels for quality pictures and also have great features to help you with your picture taking.
Let's see what Canon offers us.
Canon PowerShot D10
This small camera weighs 6.7 ounces, with dimensions of 4' x 2.6" x 1.9". It is

special because it is also
waterproof to 32 feet! It has 12.1 megapixels for good resolution, even if you do a lot of cropping. It also offers Face Select and Track, which is a nice feature if you take a lot of portrait shots. It has a 3X optical zoom, a 2.5 inch LCD screen, and 18 different scene modes.
Canon PowerShot SD960 IS
The SD960 IS weighs little over 5 ounces. It's size is 3.4" x 1.9" x .75". As you can see, it's pretty narrow in depth. It still has a nice 2.8" LCD screen. If you like to take wide shots, this would be a good choice for a small camera since it has a wide angle lens of 28mm - 112mm. Some of its other features are image stabilization to reduce camera blur, face detection, and Smart Auto Mode that is based on Canon's Scene DetectionTechnology. Oh, and it also lets you shoot HD movies!
Canon PowerShot SD780 IS
This camera is just 4 ounces. It is one of the newest digital cameras released by Canon. It's a very compact, stylish digital camera, and it has 12.1 megapixels for high-resolution. As many of the newer cameras (including the two above mentioned Canon cameras), it auto selects (Smart Auto Mode) the proper camera settings based on 18 shooting situations that were predefined. It also has Face Detection Technology and many other great features.
But the real surprise from
Panasonic is the Lumix DMC-TZ7, apparently
the smallest digital camera in the world with a 12x optic zoom.
Nikon CoolPix S230This one has to be mentioned because some people consider it one of the

best ultracompact digital cameras on the market. With its cool design and touch-screen action, it's a pretty good small 10 megapixels camera...and it will fit in almost any pocket. It measures 3.6" x 2.2" x .8" and ways just 4.1 ounces.
Even though it is one of the smallest digital cameras, it is still able to include a 3" LCD screen which is also and advanced touch screen. Some of its other features are a 3X optical zoom, image stabilization, and the choice of 17 scene modes.
No more people with closed eyes in your photos...thanks to the Blink Proof feature. In addition, it has Quick Retouch, which lets you retouch an image after taking the picture.
